Life's a bit disappointing sometimes...
Sick of homogenised town centres!
We’re a little bit tired of the homogenised, bland, über-scrubbed, non-place our town (nay, City!) has become. The corporatisation of our slightly sleazy, grubby round the edges, but always glittery basin-by-the-sea makes us feel a little bit queasy.
We’re not wowed by Churchill Square with its ‘moving stairs’ and its lid, its security blokes and its ‘you’re not allowed to take a photo’ policy, we’re not inspired by the globally indistinct stores and coffee shops and we’re not terribly fussed about the city centre clubs for drunk children and theme bars for hen parties…
What we like is something a little bit different, a touch fancy, or just something plain honest – and we happen to know that Brighton is capable of offering much, much more than what appears on the corporate surface!
